Seeking Creative Designers for the Third Annual Trash’n Fash’n Show

WILMINGTON, NC- April 8, 2024-The Trash’n Fash’n Show is back for its 3rd year and calling all creative designers to participate in this exciting event! Organized by The Plastic Ocean Project, the Trash’n Fash’n Show is a unique fashion show that celebrates sustainability and creativity by showcasing outfits made entirely from recycled and reused materials. Past outfits have been made from old fabrics, used clothing, cardboard, plastic, and other second hand materials.

For the 3rd year, the show will have an ocean theme. The outfits will be judged by a panel of judges on the basis of different categories including: sustainability, creativity, relevance to the theme. Participants have the opportunity to win prizes donated by local Ocean Friendly Establishments.

This event is organized by high schoolers from Isaac Bear Early College in accordance with The Plastic Ocean Project – our mission is to promote sustainable alternatives to fast fashion to support ocean and environment health.

We are looking for designers of all ages and all levels of experience. This event promises fun for everyone! This is your opportunity to shine and make a statement about the importance of sustainability in fashion, so join us!
